When you’re actually in love, they feel like they were written just for you. Now I have to learn all the songs so I can sing them to my niece.As much as I love a good breakup song, there’s something special about a great love song. Then, I made the mistake of going to hear the songs on her youtube channel and I didn’t know whether I wanted to cry or just let it carry me away on its river of unabashed need and longing. It’s even more beautiful that she wants people of all colours and sexualities to find a bit of themselves in her tales and rhythms. Or sticking to sweet and slow in a world of instaromance. The authoress is bold and not afraid to take her stance, be it on sticking to light and sweet when dark romance is all the rage. Then because she wants to ensure she nails my feet to the floor, she adds a tease about an FF tale? How is my heart to survive this? So, I hopped over to her website and I just had to bow in awe. Cassia is also a huge tease as she teases me with the intros that give more info on what and when in the tale the song happens and I’m so thirsty for them all. This is an amazing start to remembering what soothes and eases all those knots in our souls. In an insane world unlike any we have ever experienced, self-soothing is so vital it cannot be dismissed. These feel like adult lullabies and made me realise just how much self-soothing we forget as we grow. This review is a couple of days late because I couldn’t find the words to describe the feeling until today.
