

Before deciding to write books and moving to Brooklyn, New York, he produced a ton of amazing things online. He has worked as a firefighter on a boat, received a sword as a gift from a king, and three of his five childhood goals have come true. His debut memoir, Dirtbag, Massachusetts, will be published in July 2022. His writing has appeared in a number of newspapers, including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, among others. Additionally, he is a co-author of the books Knives & Ink: Chefs and the Stories Behind Their Tattoos and Pen & Ink: Tattoos and the Stories Behind Them (winner of an IACP Award).
